Ulcerate – Cutting the Throat of God (2024) Review

Summary
Ulcerate's concoction of hauntingly beautiful blackened death metal continues it's kiwi march with impunity in their iconoclastic release Cutting the Throat of God. What is achieved in this album's 58 minute runtime is something only few bands get the pleasure of having. If you're a god-fearing pit lord, swing your greasy elbows into a comfortable chair and endure the confronting, almost otherworldly, addition to this year's best albums.
Good

  • Feels like essential listening for any metalhead looking to challenge their tastes
Bad

The resident cave dwelling, chug loving, prog snob that doesn't like prog. You'll find me overindulging in mediocre music and rating it way too high.
