Rioghan – Kept (2025) Review

Summary
It's albums like these that make blind reviewing new bands worth it. No previous bias, no comparison albums, just all unexplored territory. Finland's Rioghan brings countless influences and flavours to their Progressive Metal sound, effortlessly blending folk elements, sombre clean songs and slots them alongside their darker visceral persona. 'Kept' as an album has so much going on but the flow helps you drift away amongst the soundscape they create. Well worth checking out, more so for open minded Progressive Metal fans than the more caveman listeners.
