Progressive Black Metal may be a genre many of you are unfamiliar with. Falling into a niche within a niche, it can be easily missed, not getting the attention it deserves. In the case of Amiensus' 'Reclamation Part 1', it is definitely an album you would kick yourself for missing. Coming in strong with the iconic Black Metal sound, blending it effortlessly with haunting passages and sprinkling in almost ethereal clean vocal segments to create a desolate, anguish filled atmosphere. For fans of the genre, and Progressive Metal fans alike, it is well worth the listen.
