"Is this a darker Black Crown Initiate?" I hear you ask - no, sweet summer child... well, actually, yes... sort of? Anyway, Replacire are definitely unto themselves: a technical death metal force to be reckoned with. If you're not a fan of aggressive metal with a dearth of melody or hooks, just keep looking - this is not for you. However, if you like aggression with rare Faceless-style sci-fi interludes, then this is most definitely for you. Check it out and try a few tracks before making your judgment - or don't; I don't care. It is a pretty filthy album, though.

  • Dissonant, confronting melodies
  • Aggressive and unapologetic

  • Beautiful melodies that break up the aggression are few and far between - the contrast would have elevated the experience had there been more
