Enemy Inside – Venom (2025) Review
Summary
Enemy Inside really encompasses what modern metal looks like in today's day and age. Mixing a wide range of influences and sounds not always found within the metal scene, they have created a vibrant and catchy album, with a phenomenal vocal performance throughout. I can understand why people may not be 100% onboard with the modern sound, especially metal purists, when an album has electronic almost pop songs in it, but I ask them to look beyond their prejudices and see how it fits in the entire soundscape created. For this reason, I believe Enemy Inside have created a harmonious balance, which was a thoroughly journey from start to finish. Good
- Stellar vocal performance
- Plenty of sonic variety to keep you entertained
- Wide range of influences and inspirations
Bad
- More complex or unique rhythms wouldn't hurt
- Thematically a bit limited in its scope
