Hazzerd – The 3rd Dimension (2025) Review
Summary
I know what you're thinking: oh, a thrash metal album... it better sound like Vektor. No, it doesn't, but you should get that out of your head person I've just made up in my own. The 3rd Dimension is what you should be hoping for when a new thrash album comes out: it's punchy, catchy, groovy, thrashy, and appropriately melodic to tie it all together. Hazzerd have captured the essence of the quintessential thrash sound whilst adding their own unique and identifiable mark on it - I do wish the rhythmic section at 1:30 in Interdimension was a melodic style they re-used, though. That being said, the boys at Hazzerd really know what they're doing with crafting a compelling thrash album, and it's a pretty great way to start the year's charts off in this space. Good
- Solid melodic sections
- Great punchy and rhythmic sections
- A great balance between instrumental and vocal sections
- They can hold your attention with a 9-minute instrumental song
Bad
- Vocals are either mixed poorly or are a little weak themselves. I can't tell.
- Some rhythmic sections are a little overplayed
